CHILLERS / COOLING TOWERS.
CHILLERS
AIR COOLED CHILLERS
Air-cooled chillers are a type of cooling equipment commonly used in industrial or commercial applications. They are typically employed to meet the cooling requirements of air conditioning systems in large buildings, factories, hospitals, and other major facilities. Their functionality is based on the circulation of a fluid (usually water or a refrigerant) to absorb, transport, and release heat.
Air-cooled chillers typically consist of main components such as a compressor, a condenser, an expansion valve, and an evaporator. These systems operate by using a refrigerant compressed in the evaporator via the compressor. Then, this refrigerant is condensed in the condenser, and heat is discharged. Air-cooled chillers remove this heat by utilizing the surrounding air during the cooling process, which sets them apart from water-cooled chillers.
Air-cooled chillers are often preferred due to their ease of maintenance and low requirement for water sources. However, their heat rejection to the environment and lower efficiencies can be considered disadvantages in some cases.
WATER COOLED CHILLERS
Water-cooled chillers are a cooling system that utilizes water. These systems are commonly used in large industrial facilities, commercial buildings, hospitals, and shopping centers. Water-cooled chillers are used to cool water, not the environment or air. The cooling process is carried out through a circulation system that circulates water.
These chillers consist of fundamental components such as a compressor, a condenser, an expansion valve, and an evaporator unit. In the first step, the compressor increases the temperature of low-pressure vapor by compressing it. Then, this high-pressure hot gas is sent to the condenser, where water is cooled, and the gas turns back into liquid form. Next, this liquid refrigerant is sent to the low-pressure area by the expansion valve and enters the evaporator unit. This unit cools by taking the temperature of the water and returns the cooled water to the circulation system. This cycle repeats continuously, thus maintaining the water within the desired temperature range.
Water-cooled chillers are ideal for meeting high-capacity cooling requirements and are commonly preferred in large-scale industrial applications. They offer advantages such as energy efficiency, long lifespan, and low maintenance requirements.
PACKAGE TYPE WATER COOLING TOWERS
Package type towers are the ones built with the plug and play logic in computers. After the production and installation of these trolleys which are made to be suitable for transporting trucks and trucks in volume sizes are completed, the customer is shipped. It is necessary for the connection of the input and output in such towers designed according to the work values of the customer to work.
SINGLE CELL TOWERS
Single engine type is used in a single cell tower. As fans, axial fans, are more efficient than centifrirugal fans. Therefore, axial fans are more preferable. Such as,water saving, the more cooling units in domain, reduce the cost of electricity…Tower sizes are decided by analyzing the information collected in the information pool after mutual consultations. basic information are needed; capacity, location, dry-wet bulb temperature and altitude.
DOUBLE CELL TOWERS:
Two cell towers by two engines and one fan from each of the equipment used. Each cell operates independently; but the pool is shared. The most important plus is, it is continue cooling of the water and in the system and circuit capacity is half falling down when failure, overhaul or maintenance. also cost and simplicity an advantage because towers are identical. As well as finding engine at low power and is much easier to keep in stock.
TRIPLE CELLULAR TOWERS:
Three different motor and fan assembly is active. As in the two-cell towers, they are independent and have one pool. Three different motor and fan assembly is active. As in the two-cell towers, they are independent and have one pool. In two cell tower maintenance, system running at 50% capacity during repair or overhaul, they can continue to operate with 67% in this type of tower structures. According to the customer's requirements it can be built with towers in different sizes remaining the same.
